How do I change an Instagram location without deleting/reposting?

I posted a photo to Instagram and forgot to tag the location. Normally not a problem, except I took the photo in Italy, and Instagram only lets you choose nearby locations. I often use the app “Mappr” to spoof my GPS coordinates, but that only works BEFORE you post the photo.

Is there any way to spoof my GPS coordinates to say I’m in Maranello WITHOUT deleting/reposting the photo? Literally NONE of the so-called “GPS faker” apps on the app store work, so I’m afraid I’m shit out of luck.

I’m literally looking for an app that makes my phone think it’s in Maranello, Italy. As in, I pull up Google Maps, and it shows me walking around the Ferrari Museum (until I turn off the spoofer).

My nexus s had a function in the settings to do that, so you may see if there are any developer options like that one your phone. ( if on android)

In other words, I don't really know.

Pretty sure you can just edit the posted photo with a new location, and search for it in the location edit screen.

Actually I just did it in the IG app. Just edit photo, then click on location, the search Ferrari museum.

That photo didn’t have a location. I changed it to Bloomington, Illinois where it was taken, then to Ferrari museum.

I’m on iPhone, and totally out of ideas. It’s hardly the end of the world, but I feel bad for not giving my subscribers a location. Many of them are carspotters as well, so they’ll be itching to learn where I found an FXX-K (only to learn they’ll have to fly to Italy).

Check the other replies. You can on iPhone, I just did. It's actually simple. Just make sure you get the right tag you want. There is a ton of Ferrari tags in Italy.

Pretty sure this will work. You should be able to just type in any location.

Before I talk about your problem...

Yeah, there. Actually I only really showed up for the FXX K. I’m leaving now. I ain’t got no use here.

That only works for nearby locations. I can type in “Ferrari Museum” but since the actual museum is 4000 miles away, it turns up an empty search (besides the generic option of NYC).

I need a way to trick my phone into thinking it’s currently in Italy before its Geotagging function can find the Ferrari Museum.

Strange, I have just uploaded a photo, I’m in Missouri, a photo of Dixon, Illinois, and tagged & edited it to be the Ferrari museum.
